[Dprglist] Tanner Electronics Closing

I heard their plan was to move to a different location, but the rents were
incredibly expensive, so that didn't fly. If you have been keeping track at
the real estate here in the DFW metroplex during the past 5 to 8 years, you
will have noticed the Californian Exodus has made our real estate prices
sky rocket to the smithereens.

Buying them out sounds like a fun thing to consider but something tells me
it would not have been cost effective. Of course going to the middle of
nowhere would had always be an option and then the question would have
been, would we have driven there to see what was new?

I will miss them for sure, but I am afraid this is just the normal course
of the electronics/surplus world evolution. Maybe the next great thing will
be an auction place?
