James,

I have always wanted to build a Rocker-Bogie chassis Robot. I've got some
rough terrain to use for my own version of RoboColumbus that I thought
would be a perfect candidate for a Rocker-Bogie chassis. However JPL's
Open Source Rover Website hates me!

Trying to go there with my completely up-to-date Chrome browser gets me to:

Maybe rather than $2500 for JPL's Rover build I can get my kicks out of
this PVC Rocker-Bogie build?

I noticed David Anderson mentioned they ruled out Rocker-Bogie chassis when
planning jBot for lack of speed. While it is pretty much true it must come
to complete stop when climbing over a large obstacle, what is the
alternative?
Avoidance? Maybe the Boston Dynamics Sand Flea solution? jajaja.

jBot seems to pretty robustly climb over obstacles although has a little
bit of climbing pause when climbing stairs -- especially the initial step
and whenever the front wheels are not already airborne...
Very nice videos on your jBot page David! Thanks for sharing.
