[Dprglist] VL53L0X Time-of-Flight Distance Sensor Carrier

This is an interesting sensor from ST on sale at Pololu. Pololu’s Black Friday sale (good thru Monday 11/28) price for an easy to use carrier board is $7.95.

The sensor uses an internal laser (pin diode) and time of flight to measure distances up to 2 meters. This looks like a very reasonable replacement for Sharp IR range sensors. It uses I2C vs Sharp’s unusually shaped analog signal.
