[Dprglist] Seeing the RoboColumbus cones

John,

Perhaps it goes without saying but it may not be obvious.  The reason 
traffic cones were chosen for the navigation targets, both for the aging 
RoboMagellan contest from Seattle and the RoboColumbus competition in 
Dallas, is not because they are traffic cones, but because they are 
fluorescent orange.  They were chosen for their color, not the other way 
around.
