I’m partial to Luxo or Vision-Luxo as they are now known….we use them exclusively at work. They’re well built and will stay in-place without sagging, good lighting. and some of the best optics out there. They can get pricy but worth the money IMHO.

I'm looking for something like this - with at least a 4.5" glass and 5 to 10 diopter (2.5x to 3.5x) power - something durable that moves easily yet holds position pretty well...
