<div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">When I was preparing to work in robotics in 2009 - 2013, David Anderson would occasionally opine that self-driving is way harder than everyone thinks, and that it wouldn't happen for a very long time. I headed in that direction
anyway, and had a very nice career segment, thank you very much. That said, given recent events at Cruise, and other data further explained in the article, I have to sadly concede that David was right.</div>
