Aha! Found the problem. Really bad crimp on a connector pin caused the wires to come loose. Scorched the plastic connector a bit. I remove the pin sanded down the scorched part to get to clean metal. Crimped the wires nice and tight. Put the whole
mess back together and presto the PC booted as if nothing was ever wrong. Yeah!</div>
