<div dir="ltr">Ron,<div> I for one would love to see your demo of the Vive positioning Tracking VR system. All meetings have a show and tell at the end of the presentation. BTW, I may have a PIxy2 (more capable, cheaper price) to show and tell depending on Amazon delivery.</div><div><br></div><div> Ray may want to save the Vive presentation for later (next month) depending on the schedule. That would allow you more time to develop your demo. I really would like to see what can be done. <div><font size="2">"</font>The Pixy2 CMUcam5 is smaller, faster and more capable than the original
Pixy. Like its predecessor, the Pixy2 can learn to detect objects that
you teach it, just by pressing a button. Additionally, the Pixy2 has
new algorithms that detect and track lines for use with line-following
robots. With these new algorithms, you can detect intersections and
“road signs” as well. The road signs can tell your robot what to do,
such as turn left, turn right, slow down, etc. The best part is that the
Pixy2 does all of this at 60 frames-per-second, so your robot can be
fast, too!<font size="2">"</font></div>

<div><font size="2">This system uses two beacons composed of fast sweeping line lasers to allow headset and hand controllers to locate themselves in up to 15' x 15' x 8' volume. </font></div>
<div><font size="2">Anyway, I will have a Processing demo that will allow one to get a feel for the accuracy of the system. If it proves accurate enough for our robots, one can create their own robot locator using inexpensive beacon sensors which detect beacon sync pulses and then the strike of laser sweeps measuring times and converting to angles. (elevation and azimuth from two beacons placed at corners of room) - OR you could place a stock locator (or hand controller on your robot).<br>

<div><font size="2">Also, I will be able to demo some form of how you can write your own graphics app that will work with this VR system.</font></div>
