Hello Doug/All,

Thanks, will be looking for the PI 0 W.

On the presentation:

Will and I should be able to produce a short presentation for the 2D robot arm where I implemented Will's refinement/interpolation equations that calculate hand positions from a limited number of camera observed hand positions.

For now I created a simulation in Processing (Arduino like - java environment running on PC) where the stored camera snapshot positions are shown in gray. The desired hand location in shown as moving red spot and the arm is shown in green in this 10 second you tube clip. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_EWVLfdsz-s Will suggested a simple iteration process to further refine the calculations.

Will's page handwritten equations were perfect, as presented, spare one "typo" (there is another word for hand written mistake, but I refuse to look it up.)

I am going to port the robot arm code to Raspberry PI, which should be very straight forward since I used Processing and a web cam on PC and Processing is supported on PI.

When can a person get one without having to show up somewhere and
get into a fist fight trying to get one or two.

Really happy with video
frame capture rates on PI 3 using its camera.
Sadly camera enumeration not
supported for OpenGL library in Processing (Java Environment) so video res is
stuck at 320x200 for the moment on 8 MP camera. Not that low res capture is a
bad thing.

I was pleased that GLSL is supported in Processing, am able to
use GPU shader based edge detection at like 90 fps. Now need to get edge finder,
e.g. Hough algorithmm, up. Of course I am sure OpenCV would handle this stuff
but takes some of the fun away.
