[Dprglist] Monthly Meeting March 23 - talk by KABAM Robotics - Roborama date change

DPRG folk,

Mark your calendars for our monthly in-person + remote meeting, which will
take place March 23 at 10am in the Dallas Makerspace North Lobby
classroom, 1825
Monetary Lane Suite 104 Carrollton, TX 75006 (North-west entrance).

I'm super excited to announce we will have a presentation from Rob Salsman,
KABAM Robotics VP, who will talk about their security robots CO-LAB
(indoor) and HALO (outdoor). Rob will also offer a group tour for DPRG of
KABAM's experience center in Irving, where we will be able to see the
robots in action and look at their SMART+ back-end , on a TBD date. We will
discuss tour dates at the meeting. You can look at videos of the robots in
action on KABAM's website at https://kabam.ai - they look cool - and they
have solutions to the navigation problems we try to solve for our Roborama
contests. KABAM Robotics is a Singaporean company specializing in security
and surveillance robots (see kabam.ai).  They are ramping up their US
activities, and also starting to hire engineers to be based here.

We're pushing back the Roborama date to Saturday June 1, with a practice
session on Saturday June 25 in place of the monthly meeting. You have a bit
more time to make your robot work even better.

All monthly meetings will take place on the 4th Saturday of the month at
10am (change from the previous announcement). The 4th Saturday lets us get
a much more accessible classroom at the Dallas Makerspace, and was a very
close second in the member preferences poll to the third Saturday.
