Hi,

Thanks very much for the advice in yesterday's RBNV. The problem with the
new KD01 robot turned out to be entirely in hardware, and the encoder
wasn't broken so much as misaligned. As I described in my blog post

after chatting with you folks I managed to fix things, and now the encoder
works exactly as it should, the "port encoder now turns -4941 ticks over
ten clockwise turns of the wheel, and +4939 ticks over ten counter-clockwise
rotations. Or 494 ticks per wheel rotation in either direction."

Yay!

And now I can go back to working on the software... (eye-rolling emoji)
