Sorry Doug, I've not been clear. I think a lot of people (like myself) would
have intuitively positioned the sensors at 90 degrees, but it was advice here
that told me to position them at 45 degrees. It admittedly sounds a bit
backwards from my intended meaning.

It probably should say something more like:
