[Dprglist] Nextion smart screens

     You may know that Steve Edwards, our president, is looking into
Nextion smart screens as a  display for the DPRG club robot. These smart
screens combine a TFT touch screens with a back board that includes an ARM
processor. Communication is done via a serial port. There is a nice screen
editor for the PC. The smart screens are available in sizes of 2.4" to 7",
and price and resolution increases with size. Currently, banggood.com is
running a promo on Nextion smart screens with the prices discounted around
~25%.

They have the 2.4" and 2.8" screens for under $20, and the 3.5" screen for
$24.

An interesting youTube resource is Andreas Spiess

subscriber of  his youTube channel for awhile. He has about 5 videos on the
Nextion smart screens.
